Derran joined the staff of Belton Church of Christ in October of 2023. Derran grew up in Abilene, TX and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Text (2000) and a Master of Divinity (2006) from Abilene Christian University. He served as a missionary in northern Thailand for seven years and, upon returning, worked at Highland Church of Christ in Abilene as the Director of Global Ministries. He has taught in the Department of Bible, Missions and Ministry at ACU and was the Executive Director of Experiential Learning there for four years. He has also worked for the International Rescue Committee. Derran is the co-author of Development in Mission: A Guide for Transforming Global Poverty and Ourselves.

Derran is married to Ann and has the joy of working alongside her as she serves as the Children’s Minister at Belton Church of Christ. They have three wonderful children: Brynn, Meg, and Dax. Derran enjoys fishing, music, reading, traveling, and deep theological conversations over coffee. 

Hollie joined our staff in May 2026. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Lubbock Christian University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Her clinical training includes working with children, adults, couples, and university students, with a particular interest in relational health, family systems, and holistic well-being.

Hollie’s professional experience includes ministry, higher education, nonprofit leadership, counseling, and community-based service. In her role at Belton Church of Christ, she provides leadership in pastoral care, hospitality, community outreach, and education, with a focus on creating spaces of belonging and supporting individuals and families.

Hollie is married to Stephen, and they have four children: Hobs, Penn, Izzie and Andie. Hollie enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Katee has been a member of Belton Church of Christ since 2014 and joined our staff in 2022. Katee grew up in Longview, Texas and attended Alpine Church of Christ. She attended Baylor University where she received her Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2013. Katee taught second grade and kindergarten in Belton ISD before joining Belton Christian Preschool.

Katee married her husband Nick in 2013. He is a football coach and member of the National Guard. They have two daughters, Emmie and Kerris, and a son, Rynn.

Ann joined the staff of Belton Church of Christ in August of 2026. Ann grew up in a missionary family in Bangkok, Thailand. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with teacher certification from Abilene Christian University (2000). She served as a missionary in northern Thailand for seven years and, upon returning, worked as a Special Education teacher in Abilene and in Belton. She has taught Special Education from Pre-K through 8th grade. Ann also serves as a Spiritual Director and earned her certification at Southern Methodist University (2019). 

Ann and Derran have been married for 26 years and have three wonderful children: Brynn, Meg, and Dax. Ann enjoys getting coffee with friends, floating in pools, reading, and finding humor in almost everything.

Bruce and his family joined the Belton family in July 2017. Bruce grew up in Tyler, TX at the Shiloh Rd Church of Christ. He attended Abilene Christian University and received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible with an emphasis in Youth Ministry (2000) and a Master of Science in Digital Media with an emphasis on Graphic Design (2001). Bruce has worked in youth ministry full-time since July 2001 and has served at Austin St. Church of Christ (Garland, TX) and Pine Tree Church of Christ (Longview, TX). He also operates YM Resource (an initiative to provide creative resources for youth ministries) and has authored several youth ministry curriculum books, Bible studies, and other materials.

Bruce and his wife, Katy, have two children, Caleb and Peyton.  Both Bruce and Katy have a passion for teens and love encouraging them to grow spiritually. Through a combination of spiritually-minded classes & activities and fun events, their aim is to grow a group of adolescents into a strong community of young believers.

Jane Anne has been part of the church staff since 2006. She attended Abilene Christian University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Jane Anne taught 2nd grade in Waco ISD and 3rd grade in Belton ISD. She served as a tutor for Belton ISD for many years. She also taught at Western Hills Christian Preschool.

Jane Anne married Scott in 1986. They have two daughters, Melany Yokum and her husband, Joshua of Lubbock, TX, and Alyssa Sanabria and her husband Pablo of Abilene, TX. They also have one grandson, Oliver Sanabria, of Abilene, TX.

Suzanne relocated to Texas in 2022, joined the staff initially in 2023 as part of the custodial team, and then began in the office in 2026. She is an Air Force veteran, devoted mother, and grateful Gigi. She has managed medical offices, caring and advocating for patients and staff with compassion, and hopes to walk each day with gratitude and a heart to encourage.

Suzanne has two daughters- Allycia Taylor and her husband, Jeff Taylor of Southside, AL, and Krista Jung and her husband Corby Jung who are members of Belton Church of Christ. She also has four precious grandchildren, Claire, Knox, Hazel and Reed.
